How much does it cost to rent a sound system in Columbus, Ohio?
The price depends on how much equipment your room needs, whether our engineer stays through the event, and how far we travel.
Every quote is itemized, with each speaker, each cable package and each person on the crew on its own line, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and cut what you do not need. Send the date, the venue and your headcount and we can usually quote without a call.
Do you provide an engineer?
Always. Every rental comes with one of our engineers, at minimum to set up and test everything before your guests arrive and to pack it away afterwards.
You can also book the engineer to stay for the whole event, with crew if you need them. Most corporate and wedding clients do: someone is watching the levels, changing a microphone battery before the toast, and handling anything unexpected, so you never have to think about it.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Columbus and work across Ohio: Central Ohio (Dublin, Westerville, New Albany, Hilliard, Grandview Heights) plus Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, Youngstown and anywhere in between. Travel is quoted at cost and itemized. If your venue is somewhere else, ask.
What equipment do you own?
A complete PK Sound system: dual 18″ subwoofers, main speakers, line array elements we mostly run as DJ monitors, plus digital consoles, system processing, a stage box, a DJ mixer, truss totems, 50A power distribution, and full audio, power and network cable packages. It is owned inventory, not sub-rented.
Can you handle very large events?
Yes. Email rentals@universallynull.com with the date, the venue and your headcount, and we will design a system for it.
How far in advance should we book?
Send the date as soon as you have it. Quotes are held for seven days from issue, and rates are frozen onto a quote when it is sent, so a rate change later cannot alter what you already signed.
Can you work with our venue's in-house system?
Yes. If the room already has a sound system, we can supply the engineer to run it, or add speakers and bass where it falls short.
